An accident on Savy Aerodrome throughout the German offensive. A potent issue in weakening the German thrust across the old Somme battlefield was the continuous bombing by British aircraft.
Each Nos two and 4 Australian Squadrons have been engaged in this, the machines bombing the enemy, returning for additional bombs, and then commencing once again as quick as they could be loaded. No. two Squadron was at Savy.
